ReplyDeleteI think that this and Mythic are the best general purpose engines available for solo play.
I AM almost 60,am I too old to be playing these games?
ReplyDeleteNo such thing, my friend!
DeleteYea!! Much thanks!
ReplyDeleteYoink!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thank you! Can't wait to try it out.
ReplyDeleteVery cool, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, all! The bottom line here is that this is something that was born out of necessity and has worked for me for a year, now. I enjoy it very much, and others might, too. If so, fantastic! If not, that's cool, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this as always; while I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of the solo gaming model presented in the 9Q's, I learned (and am learning) a lot about solo RPG play through playing the 9Qs (not to mention, it's a great way to kick off a campaign). The presentation on '9Qs 2e' is exactly 20% cooler than previously, good job.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, speaking of shiny and new, do you intend to try out the new playtest packet in your next L'Amore session?
My next post will cover that in 3...2..1...
DeleteI've visited your blog less often these days (due to RL). How pleasantly surprised I was to see the revised edition! I just went through them. A thing of beauty! They are much cleaner! I love the option to "choose 1 or 2 OR roll". Looking forward to many more forrays into 9Q land!
ReplyDeleteThanks. The choose or roll option seemed so obvious, I couldn't believe it hadn't always been there. I needed something that gave control back to the player during later GM turns, while taking away some control during PC turns.
